The picese that sticks up when you remove the oil filter on a 6.0 powerstroke. Its spring loaded.

Local machine shop was unloading the block to check the deck and their hoist busted that off. Probably my fault for not removing it and trying to save time.

A name for that would be nice, as well as hoping someone has a spare one laying around. Please let me know ASAP! If i dont find something ill have to go to Ford :(

I'm picking up a 6.0 block to do some mock up on Saturday, if it has one in good shape I can get it sent out Monday

I appreciate it! Any clue what you would call that, and any idea what all needs replaced if you broke the spring loaded piece off?

I would answer my own questions but the motor is at the machine shop and i need to round of up parts in the mean time

3 torx? no. 1 T27 torx does the trick. remove the machine screw, and turn the unit counter clockwise about 50*, then it comes straight up. if you're talking to a ford parts guy, tell him it's the plastic post in the center of the oil filter, mounted to the base. if he can't figure it out from there he's a retard. I bet you spend about $30 at Ford.
