Anyone run the console version for "98-08" trucks with 40/20/40?

I'm curious as to what it sounds like. I'm not trying to rattle windows and wake up the neighborhood anymore, grew out of that a while back, but do like a good bump every now and then.

I'd be tempted to try to make the same thing with MDF and a 10" Kicker L7, but not sure I could make it nearly as nice as this JL box looks to be.

Thanks guys, searching hadn't turned up any reviews.

If you have the time and tools needed, I would try building your own.

Those things are expensive!

I have heard them and they sound pretty good... Not exactly a PSD but it was in a Toyata Tundra.

If it was up to me I would rather build my own box but for someone that wants something thats basically plug and play the stealthbox is a pretty nice unit.

Two jl shallow mount 13.5s behind the seat in a custom box is the most acoustically accurate hard hitting setup I have heard in our trucks. Could not believe they were shallow mounts.

I have a Supercab, and hate giving up any room back there, hence my reason for considering this.

The 3rd option, after making a similar box to the JL setup myself, would be to take out the rear small folding seat 1/3 seat and make a medium sized box with a 12" or so, but like said, hate to give up the room and extra seat.

Yip, that is a 12" Image Dynamics IDQ12V3.

Sorry, no spec's on the box - just made it up as I went.

Do you know what the air space the sub needed then?

Gonna do that for my stereo integrity bm mkiii but since it only need .5cuft think I can keep more padding on top probably

O and btw great work.

The sub needed .65-.9 cu/ft IIRC.

Thats a nice sub from what I hear, if you can even get a hold of one.

Yea I really like it but want another. 2 of them would sound perfect. I ordered mine last june and got it at the end of september but was worth the wait.

To the OP, I have the stealth box in my 09 and I love it. I had to 2 10" Focals mounted behind my back seat in my 04 with a custom fibreglass box and the single 8" honestly sounds pretty close if not better. People who hear it can't believe its just one little sub. Its a super clean install and I would def recommend it. Just make sure you keep junk out of the cup holders that will vibrate and fly everywhere.
