I picked up my Jeep yesterday from the shop. I had them install a nice single din Pioneer deck (XM/Pandora/USB/Aux/remote) and some Hertz 4" coaxs in the dash. The rest of the system was reused from the Tracker. The soundbar has 6.5" Punch Powers series coaxs. Amps are JBL 4 channel (320 watts) and a Polk carbon series c500.1 on 2 10" MTX Jackhammers (they built a custom box). Anyway.....I never realized it but the subs are trashed. They were in a downfire box in the Tracker and I couldnt hear that they were toast. Sound is fine with volume low....

The mids/highs sound really clean. Nice crisp...and loud....but the subs gotta go. What is a good 10" woofer that will handle alot of power and economical at the same time. I want to pick something up local...so think mainstay brands....Rockford...Kicker...Memphis...crossfire...etc.

Man I didn't know you have a Jeep. We will probably be at the beach this weekend too. Whats yours look like? We have a 2000 TJ Sahara. Its about to become the new Project since the truck isn't lifted any more. Right now it has a crappy 3" BL with some 33x12.50's on it but its about to grow up!! Here's how it looks now:

Nice looking Jeep!

Mine is a 2000 Sport with 42k miles on it. I have had it for about a week. My mother in law bought it new in 2000. I sold it for her to a friend in 2003 with 10k miles on it to a buddy's Dad. My mother in law passed away in 2005. So....my buddy calls me up and says "Hey Dad is selling the Jeep, you know anybody?" I jumped on it....no brainer for the wife since it usd to be her mom's. In 7.5 years he only put 30k miles on it. It basically looks like it did the day I sold it. Right now it just has 31s on some 15x8s. I plan to lift, gear it and run 35s eventually....

* I have already 86'd the ventvisors. Hate those things...

I will be at the beach starting tonight til next Thursday! Kids are out of school. I'll have my truck too...so look for either one...

Very nice!! I pulled the doors off about 30 mom ago!!

I'm trying to decide between 35's and 37's

What do I need to pull the doors off? (just glanced and couldnt tell if that's hex or takes a socket)

BTW. CVRs are in and jam. Huge difference. Box still may be a bit on the smallish side. Thinking of putting some poly fill in....

Mine just use a 13mm wrench on the nuts on the bottom of the henges. Then just wiggle the door back and forth while you lift up on it and they will come out. If they have never been off before it might be a little tough but they will come out. You might squirt a little lubricant down in where the pin goes through.

Here is that part on the door:

Here is the part on the body. You can see the little sleeve bushing, make sre you dont tear it up, they are hard to find lol:

Here is is with the doors off and safari on...ready to go!!
