Hey guys, I've been wondering about running a w85 mix in my truck but I don't really know the process for making it. I'm more of a visual learner, so reading all the posts just confuses me. Anyone have some pictures of their set-ups that they can photoshop explanations into (such as filter assembly instructions and all), or even a simple diagram to get me started?

Also, how does the wmo mixs hold up in higher hp applications?

Any mods that should be done to my truck in advance?

Thanks in advance.

well no offense to you bra, really
but no one has the time to write a book of pictures for you.
have someone read it to you,
the stickys give you about all the info you need to at least get started

but i can give you the super condensed version
1 get an open top 50 gal barrel with a lid

2 get motor oil,atf,no veggie,no gear oil

3 put 35 gal oil on barrel

4 if atf is in barrel, add 10-12 gal gas
if 10=30 is in the barrel, add 12-14 gallons of gas
if 15-40 is in the barrel, add 15-17 gallons of gas.......and mix...put top on barrel

5 wile your waiting 3-5 days to settle it,make a viscup,a pump,and a filter set up

6 viscup is a small container, with a 1cm hole in it,like an upside down lotion bottle with a
1 cm hole in the lid, youtube home mad viscup

7 youtube sbc pump,to learn how to make a pump

8 filter set up is up to you,but do atleast a 3 stage set up
i got 2 waterfilter houseings at mcmaster-carr,a 5 micron string wound,and a 1
micrin string wound, then get a filter head for a baldwin bf7587 fuel filter
and of course get the bf7587 filter, now connect all the filters toghther
make sure the bf7587 filter is the last one to get oil

9 do a vis test with a stop watch, test the time it takes d2 to run out of your viscup

10 do the same test on your brew, and compair times

11 pump through your filter set up,preferably suck it through, instead of push it through
as pushing has alot more pressure and can push sh!t past the filter element

12 pray

13 pray some more

14 put it in truck

15 after 50 miles change the fuuel filter on your truck

16 after 100 more miles change the fuel filter aghain

17 after another 100 miles change the filter again

18 after 200 more miles change the fuel filter again

19 thank me for saveing you alot of money

19 write me some public internet hatemail, telling me im an azzhole, and i dont know sh!t

19 depends on your experences

20 know this before you even lift a finger,NO ONE,AND I MEAN NO ONE,has a damm clue at to how this is going to turn out in the long run, were all still wracking up miles, the jury is still out...and no one will pity your problems...except us :)

21 and rember everyone else in the entire world, besides us sickos here in this section...
will call you stupid, berrate you, bellitle you,try to scare you,try to diswade you, call you a polluter, call you a cheater, call you everything ever said about someone else..because they cant see doing this,in a zillion years...
but paying 1.50 a gallon has it;s allure

This isn't something you can learn overnight either, be patient and do a LOT of reading.

I researched for a solid 6 months about the vegistroke system alone and filtering. I built a filtration setup and filtered oil for over a year before committing to buying my vegistroke. At the end of the day the guys here can only tell/show you so much, it's something you have to put some time in to and decide if it's for you or not.
