I've got a 11 king ranch and has the remote start feature on it. Now that I've done some up grading to the truck I want to put an alarm on my truck.

My question is since I have remote start already do I just need the alarm?

Or is the alarm and remote start route the best way to go?

Personally, I don't have experience with running an aftermarket alarm in lue of the factory remote start as my truck never came with it. However, I will say that if you're going the aftermarket alarm route, you may as well spring for a 2-way pager with remote start. The aftermarket units have come a long way and have feature like turbo timers and various things that may be to your benefit. Not to mention you won't have to worry about whether they'll be compatible or not.

Yeah I forgot about you probably having to use the ford remote if you ever wanted to remote start. All in one will be the way to go for sure.

I recommend anything by autopage. Their new rs1100 system is phemomenal, works great, and has the provisions for gps tracking via phone or web, and all functiona can also be activated via cellphone
