Looking at a new 6.7

Well I'm sick and tired of my 6.4's reliability issues.. Found a new 450 today.
62k sticker.. I'm hoping for 35k outta my 08 F-450

That thing wont haul anything like your current 450...you need to jump up to 550 to get back the heavy axles and tow ratings.

why is that? I haul right around 30k gross regularly. I hated everything about my 450.. 19.5 beat you up and the 4.88 gears killed my fuel economy..

With that mentality why not get a 350?

I'm just asking why.. not disputing that the new 450's are built lighter duty.. with a smaller rear axle and 17 inch tires and such..

I will think twice with this truck pulling my 22k material handler around.. but I'm sure I can get it done...

Nice truck. Is the front bumper painted red or is that just a reflection?

I believe it's got a flare that's painted because it's a 450

You don't want to buy a cab and chassis truck. The only problems I have seen with 6.7s were pretty much c&c trucks that dropped valves. Plus there only rated at 300 HP.

This isn't a c&c truck as far as I know. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

No its not. C&c trucks have a slightly longer frame and don't come with a bed.

He was talking about the 550's being c&c.

Well apparently I'm going to another dealership. They offered 16k on my 450. What a joke.

I expected you to get a 25-27 offer. 16. **** ill give you 20 now

Add 13k to it and I'll deliver it!!! I'm hoping for 31-32k trade in. If not I'll keep it and work it.

They got an 08 450 at the dealership with 80k that is listed at 35k and they said it's been sitting for 560 days at the dealership.

I was gonna trade my 08 lariat ccsb 250 with 51k n that was b4 new body. They offered me 25. I'm saying they won't take it if they can't make 5k proffit. They will sell it for 35 ish but after overhead and any kind of little stuff it needs to be dealer certified I think you'll be lucky to get 28. Id either sell out right or plan on keeping it

Thanks for the opinion. After they showed me the sheet. It would be 62k financed. I might as well buy one outright. The sticker is 62k.

I'm sure I can find a dealership that will do better than 16k. I damn near could part the truck for 16k

You could part it for 25. I bet you get 25. Sell it out right. List it for 35
