Black Smoke and REGENS???

Im pretty sure I have a cracked Dpf Due to the fact it puts out black smoke under heavy throttle. My main concern is that it hasnt went into regen in over 2000 miles. Could this be the sign of a problem other than a cracked DPF?

That is way to high of mileage to not regen. There is a problem in the after treatment system on the truck. Either take it to a dealer or take it off.

I had one that ford replaced. It acted worse if it was raining which i read in a ford bulletin that was a sympton of a clogged or cracked dpf if it ran bad when moisture was present. Just get rid of that dpf all together:evil

that part is coming as soon as I get done remodeling my house and get some funds freed up:naughty::
