2008 high idle when in park

looking at a early job 1 2008 f250 lartit but when the truck is in park after its been warmed up how do you turn off the factory elevated idle.

it does it only in park, weather the parking brake is down or not, goes away when you depress the bark pedal.

Its going to do that depending on what the outside air temps are. Only thing you can do is tap the brake

Mine only does it with the e-brake applied I think. I pretty much always go to N, apply foot-brake, release service brake, then P so I'm not 100% if it hi-idles without the e-brake.

I do know that my hi-idle switch will only work with the e-brake on.

The switch only works with e-brake on, but the factory high idle works whenever oil temp falls below a certain point. Why do you want to turn it off? It's trying to keep heat in the motor to burn properly at idle...
