Hey guys! I thought I should share this, I know a lot of you have been there done this, but this truck was a result of my craigslist ford diesel mechanic ad..

The truck came in with two bad injectors and a miss on cylinder 3. I found the rocker assembly for the intake on cylinder 3 just laying around inside the head and proceeded to try and pull the head cab on, and once I got the turbos off, I decided to just pull the motor and save myself the hassle

Turns out the lifter cam apart and wore the cam down just a hair..the owner doesn't want to spend the extra $ to replace the cam if it will work by replacing a lifter...lol. the truck did get new rod bearings. It should be finished by next week. A BIG THANKS to Shane (whitemonster), mike (STROKER) and TJ at PSM for helping me out for parts and advice, I appreciate it.

anyways here they are..

all rod bearing clearances were within spec! the piston was a little tricky to get in, I had to triple check the rings were all 120 degrees away from each other because they would want to move on me. The truck is getting studs, and an EGR delete as well

so I got the motor in yesterday and fired it up today..it died after 5 seconds, but I need to bleed more air out of the system, and plug in some more sensors (transmission input and output, MAF, EBP), but it did turn over for about 5 seconds..

Here is how I bungied the down pipe and pass side up pipe in order to get clearance for the motor.

test drove the truck today finally! I loaded the H&S and took it for a drive. the owner brought me the turbos from ebay, since the ones on it were shot. Anyways, long story short. I had it on the Mild setting. the truck smokes like a pig, only makes 20lbs of boost and won't rev past 2200 RPMs.

Pulled four codes:
P132B-Turbo Actuator fault
P2563- Turbo Boost Control Sensor 'A'
P2263- EBP (I think)
U3F25
