Is that a rebuilt motor Marty? I've seen where the tolerances on the cam bores are a bit on the large side and the cam bearings don't have the right press fit. I've never seen it on a high mileage motor from the factory though - unless its cracked...

What would cause that ? High RPM ? Over rev with no load, ie. Hitting nuetral on a pull etc

Probably the same roller lifter that is in every 7.3. They are hydraulic rollers from the factory.

I was wondering about that. All the blocks I've been in still had the cam in place. Now how about the source for those roller rockers?
oke:I've been concerned about the possible increased wear on stock rockers from high pressure springs.
