Is that a rebuilt motor Marty? I've seen where the tolerances on the cam bores are a bit on the large side and the cam bearings don't have the right press fit. I've never seen it on a high mileage motor from the factory though - unless its cracked...

iv seen a block crack through all the webs and the crank mains but my first guess would be a bad fit on the bearings. maybe the tolerance was too far out?

Probably the same roller lifter that is in every 7.3. They are hydraulic rollers from the factory.

I was wondering about that. All the blocks I've been in still had the cam in place. Now how about the source for those roller rockers?:poke:

I've been concerned about the possible increased wear on stock rockers from high pressure springs.

Pardon the thread jack Marty.:D

I haven't looked at it since.... been way too busy honestly. I hope by the end of next week I will be caught up.
