Gotta start off the forum right, so lets see pics of what you got for audio fun inside the trucks. We all spend soo much time in them there's gotta be something to listen too when we get tired of the turbo's song

Here is what I got

Dash houses a 10.4" touch screen for the computer. Right now 120gb HD for movies and music, does my GPS also and anything else I need

Relocated the climate controls to the upfitter switch cubby, and then built this pod for the Alpine 9887 HU, upfitter switches and brake controller.

Front speakers and only speakers, are Polk Audio SR6500 set minus the crossover. Mids in the stock door location and tweeters fiberglassed to the sail panels

Subwoofer is in the 08 center console. Sub is a Stereo Integrity 12" Mag V4 in roughly 0.93ft^3 sealed box, console with sub (25lbs) now weighs a total of 78lbs

The rarely seen underside...

The brain and power center is all behind the seat. Back here is the computer, a pair of Sundown Audio amps, Sax100.4 on the passenger side and a Saz-1500D on the drivers side with the computer in the middle.

Wow, nice stuff in here. Not sure what I want to do with my truck yet. Most of my old stuff was ugly but really loud, phew glad I'm out of that phase.

Well I haven't posted what I have in mind, I have had all the components sitting in my living room for a while. When my truck is back running this is what will happen. Dynomat and dynaliner or similar in doors, pillars, rear and perhaps floor. Pioneer Z110B with the Z120 upgrade, JL Audio ZR570 csi in doors, JL Audio HD600/4 powering the highs, 2 JL Audio HD750/1 for the bass. Ohh and those will be 2 JL Audio 12W7's in a cut through. XM radio and PAC steering wheel interface. I had something similar with different components prior, but this will be clean, loud and rattle your head! I read about Focal too late, or I would have bought those for my highs. This should do though. Pics will follow when it gets that far.

I have seen and read your thread, is the roof worth it? The floor is a done deal. I would like the annoying rain noise that is right in my left ear to go away when raining. You went with raamat and ensolite correct? Ensolite just behind the door speakers, and ram everything else.

Do the roof...hugh differance. I used FatMat and then used Raamaudio ensolite over it. Then I used a piece of the ensolite inside the door right behind the speakers

That makes sense since voices etc seem to bounce off roofs. I didn't think of putting ensolite anywhere but behind the speakers.

Thanks for the compliments guys, the screen was fun to install mostly a learning experience.

Some great setups all around too, definitely looking forward to the pics of the future projects :D

I would definitely do the roof. Mainly thinking the roof is a relatively thin metal vs the floor which is pretty solid. The roof is more similar to the outer door skins which are pretty prone to resonating due to the thin metals. I would imagine rain and wind noise would get cut down pretty big by doing the roof.

The ensolite/dynaliner like products are there to cut down air born noises (wind, tire, exhaust. sirens, etc.) by making a barrier for the sounds to pass through. While the dampener is there to cut down structural noises (speaker vibrations, drivetrain vibrations, rain drops, etc) by adding mass to the metal to reduce its reonant frequency. So the 2 are meant to work in unison to conquer all the noises from the vehicles and speakers motion to the outside noises.

I haven't posted pics yet but......

- 2 10" Kicker comps w/ grilles in separate sealed boxes.
- Kenwood KAC-7205 1000 watt amp.
- Kenwood KDC-BT848U headunit (Bluetooth, XM, HD, iPod, ect.)
- Kicker 6x8 coaxial speakers in back of cab.
Last thing to tidy up my system: Kicker 6 1/2's in the doors (they're still stock and suck)

It's a very tight fit behind the bench in the standard cab. It hits extremely hard inside, but surprisingly enough with no sound deadening stuff it's pretty quiet on the outside, which is a plus.
