EGT's

What kind of temps is everyone running with the delete tunes. Running Spartans now with no temp reading yet but wondering what the temps were tuned and deleted.

We ran an autometer setup to read EGTs on spartan tunes and even on the warhammer they stayed pretty cool. 275-320 at idle and about 5-600 on the highway

Reading from the down pipe or manifold?

reading from the egr block off plate. so manifold

How about when you get on it or tow something. I have a utility body on mine and it is like towing something all the time.

when you really get on it, it can climb pretty quick. i have my gauge set to warn me at 1400 degrees. but as far as towing goes, it stays pretty cool as long as you are easy on it and not being stupid haha

LOL My foot only knows how to operate that right vertical pedal.But it is my work truck so I do take it easy.

You will be fine man. I love my spartan tunes and I have tried the others as well. Spartan is my pick.

been with spartan since spring 08 with my 08 6.4 and love it which I still have. tuned my 12 with them a 1500 miles and no complaints. Just getting things together to do the egr delete so I can monitor egt's.

Oh be very careful on the EGR delete. there is only one kit that can work with spartan tunes. If you unplug those harnesses like H&S recommends then the truck will go into a type of limp mode and won't have any power at all... I just have my EGR blocked off and left everything else plugged in

They say it works with the kit from RCD. So that is the direction I am leaning

Yeah I gotcha. Update on the temps. I really watched today and on the 165 tune at 75mph it runs right at 650-700 degrees
