With the expertise of Mr. Wacker, tried out some matte black vinyl on the door posts between the windows. Wasn't sure how it would turn out, but wanted to give it a try. Wacker did a nice job getting it on without bubbling. Didn't really like it at first in the shop, but out in the sun it's starting to grow on me. Think it's a love or hate thing, and somehow I'm still in the middle about it. Truck looks like its wearing Spy sunglasses

Interesting.

I think I like it, I also think that it has to have the right color combo to pull it off. I think you have one of the correct color combos though.

I think it could work, if there was something else up front to complement it. Like painting the inside of the headlights matte black, and then doing the same thing to the honeycomb on the grill.

Man you bet me to it. That is still in the plans for my truck eventually. What about blacking out the post behind the rear window just on the door? Maybe have some photoshop on a black two tone stripe?

Here are some pics of when I first thought about it.

Thanks guys, I'm still on the fence about it but will give it a few days to either grow on me or I can peel it back off.

I like it on yours because its dark but dont think it would look good on white.
My buddy did it on his white lowered 01 and it looks really good, it's crazy how good it looks. But there's a lifted silver 08 driving around here that looks really weird. I really wanna do this to mine but I just havent had the time to go steal some black vinyl from the place I used to work for. Best thIng about doin it with vinyl is it comes off easy if you don't like it.

Yeah not sure jacob, i am with you i like it and i dont all at the same time, i think its one of them things you have to see in person walking to your truck from the grociery store or something to get the full effect, my truck is black so all that looks the same

The picture of the white truck that other guy posted i really like actually looks like the new f-150 which i really like, and your wheels really go with that look anyway
