Sterling oil slinger - OBS vs SD interchange?

Guys I still need an oil slinger for my 97 10.25 axle. Part number F4TZ-1250-A which is not available anymore. Found a nos one but it's priced at $35! :flipa: The one for the SD 10.5 axle is D5AZ-4670-A and sells for $2. My dealer stocks nothing so I haven't been able to compare the two. Will they interchange? Dealer couldn't tell me - what a surprise.... :doh:

Well the 99 up 10.5's use 10.25 gears in all the aftermarket but you have to use the 10.5 install kit I believe. I'd just call a gear place like randys ring and pinion and ask. They have answered technical questions for me before and I never bought a thing from them. Just ask for the tech department.
