Terrible.

I'm not sure what mine is getting, haven't figured it but ive compared it to my other trucks. With the driving, and idle time mine sees its not getting 10mpg. I'm betting close to 8mpg.

my 2000 gets around 8 when running around the farm and town. I rarely shut it off though. When I have to go on road trips with it I get from 10-12 depending on how fast I am driving. Slowing down from 65 to 60 makes a big difference.

Also truck is completely stock. No chip or anything. Running a 245 tire though instead of stock 225

EDIT: I should add that this is a shop truck loaded with 100+ gallons of fuel, welder, air compressor, Tools, etc. Prob close to 13-14k gross weight.

Our 03 with an 11' aluminum dump bed gets around 10. The 4.88s don't really like the highway either. Forgot to add its a 6.0.

I had a customer call about this yesterday, he said he was getting 8mpg on avg and wanted to get to 11. Basically the gears are the main killer.

In town my really sucks. I dont drive it in town too much though. On the road unloaded when it was stock 11-11.5.
4.88's are the killer, but they are great for pulling heavy stuff.

My 550 6.4 that im building has 488 in it. Im going ti swap it to 410 before it ever gets tagged. Plus that way it will still be quick on the street lol

Something is up then.
If I drive with Innovative X-Street I can get above 17 hand calculated (Dash says around 20 a couple of times) if I drive about 60-65. Anything above that and it drops. If I drive with the Tow Tune or normal Street I get 1-1.5 less.

Can't tow heavy with a gear vendors so that kinda makes them pointless on a F550. Besides for the money you'd spend on that you can easily have a new gear set.
