After searching high and low for a place to catalog this build I realized that my buddy Gares site is the best, even if it ain't a diesel. Congrats again on a crazy badass site!

So after church Sunday Sept 30 2012 I was doing my usual CL trolling while my Lady drove us to Pizza Hut for lunch when BAMMMM!!!!

1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie $700 OBO.

My sons and I have been looking for a long term project Ford with MAX BODACIOUS CHROME to put in a barn for a couple years. This was Perfect!

3 hours a $450 later.

I always wished my dad and I would do something similar, as the only things we used to do was hunt, snowmobile, and ride four wheelers. But the most he's ever helped me on the truck is give me a tip here or there or drink a beer and complain about me dumping more money into it, when he offered to take me to Texas to buy a truck(dumb decision on my part). Anymore though he just asks whats broke on it this week, then goes on his day either at work, or at a friends house drinking.

My dad has 65 galaxie 500 xl with the 390.

After much reflection over my laundry list of wants for this car I've come to the conclusion that Im in over my head. Its been cleaned, categorized and engine tore down to short block for inspection. It will be sold just as a clean roller.

Honestly though - if you think its above your capabilities or budget - its too nice to screw up.

Its not because the thought didn't cross my mind... but I have TOO many projects right now. Once the two build threads I have on here get "finished up" - there is another two to start here and one that I have over on "Built With Blood" that needs some attention.

And that's the key. Im more of "rough-in" guy. Finish detail is to much for my attention span. This car is to classy to be at the mercy of my clumsy mitts.
