Heres the scoop, my truck is a 6.7 and is bone stock. Was driving to austin the other day and the check engine light came on...took to Ford and they scanned it and said it was issue with mass air flow sensor. They called me and asked how long ive had my AFE drop in filter installed and i told them its been over 5000 miles...they didnt know what the case was and cleared the code and told me to put my stock filter back in.
They said to bring it back if the light comes back on??
This is so wierd, hasn't lit back up, but you wouldnt think a drop in filter would do this..
Does this have to do with the stock tune and pcm freaking out because of too much air? I thought i would benefit from one of these...I also figured a full intake would be the first thing to throw a code if i bought one..
What are yalls thoughts on this?
