How well do the aftermarket kits work with aftermarket head units? I hear they are a pain to install, have a delay and dont last very long...???

Looking at this for a Kenwood deck(most likely)

i think its pac that makes the module i have, its a PITA to get programmed but once it got programmed i havent had any issues works great

I have the PAC SWI-JACK system as well, it was easy for me to program and works great so far. There is almost no delay in volume control and switching of songs and channels.
