egt probe

Where is the correct placement for an egt probe? I was thinking behind the turbo about 4 inches....any thoughts are appreciated.

Mine is in the drivers side exhaust manifold in the end of it.

Pre turbo (in themanifold) is usually a better spot to put it. Temp readings are more accurate, and then you are less likely to fry a turbo. Post turbo temps should be cool enough not to alarm you- which is the whole reason to have a pyrometer lol

Should be on the drivers side at the rear of the manifold at the bend. Pretty easy to get a drill in there from the bottom.

Make sure you you use several different bit sizes to get to the desired holse size.
