96 7.3 engine, swapped to a 5.4 superduty

So ive got a friend who wants to do this swap in his 2000 5.4 powered superduty. His brother has a obs the he rolled a few weeks ago.. aside from the obvious motor, wiring etc.that will be needed, I believe the 5.4 trucks have the smaller bellhousing 4r right?? Not real sure if we want to use the e4. I need some more info on cab wiring and how I can bring all this together with what I have available thanks, Lance

You'll need to get all the SD engine accessories, SD 7.3L engine mounts, wiring, dash cluster, master cyl/hydro boost, fuel lines, tank. You are correct about the trans being different, you will need to find a Diesel 4R100. Not 100% sure the gasser T case will bolt up. Other then that it's not "hard" it's just time consuming with all the little stuff.
