What do you guys make of this

Well this was dropped off at the shop about a month ago. This was the start of another shop and then they didnt want to finish it. Specs 08 f450 with 90 12v.

Guy said the truck has 80k on it and it spun the mains and ford would not fix. Said he was filing a lawsuit against them.
The truck is used to deliver seed. They put 25k on this thing and go 1000 to 1500 miles at a time. I really dont think a 90 12v is the best motor for this truck. What do u guys think?

I would rebuild the original.... That would be the logical thing to do. Other than that I think the next best thing would be a later model 12v or a common rail cummins.

whats wrong with putting an almost 20 year old motor in the truck?



they should of just bought a 1st gen if that's what they wanted and saved some money, I would also of rebuilt the original lol

A 12v would handle it just fine, though I wouldn't want a VE 1st Gen engine for it. A p-pump and some small twins would work great. Though a well prepped 6.4 would do just fine as well.

I am trying to convince them to put the 6.4 back in it. Problem is some of the parts are missing and some harnesses have been cut... We will see.
