I've got a pair of Q-Forms kick panels for a Ford Super Duty, with high quality midrange speakers already installed. The kick panels were originally $180. The speakers are Vifa Tymphany NE149W-04 5-1/4" Full Range Woofers (search that part number on the Parts Express website for specs) and were originally $120 each. The Q-Forms are reinforced by a custom cut aluminum ring with steel thread inserts (no screws into plastic here). I've got over $450 invested in this setup, but the system has been removed from the truck and they are just taking up space on a shelf now.
