Need some help tryin to figure out what is up with my steering and suspension. It feels crazy loose and all over the place.
I have a 6" lift on the truck which I know is contributing to the problem. I read a thread a while back about tightening the steering box, but I am unsure what exactly needs tightening
I plan on adding new shocks very soon, but what else would help. 4 link? Upgraded sway bar or track bar?
When I hit a bump in the road it's all over the place
Truck is a 2008

How many miles?

What speed does it happen at?

How's the steering during normal operation (not going over bumps)?

Truck has 53k miles
When hitting a bump at anything over 50 it feels like it's on sliding (body roll?)

Steering has lots of play at any speed. Feels very sloppy

Check your track bar and track bar bushings. Make sure the bushing dont have any play in them and that the bolts that hold the trackbar onto the brackets are tight. I wanna say the Ford spec is over 400 ft/lbs. Not 100% sure about the torque number.

Have a friend turn the wheels back and forth while you're under the truck. You'll find problem spots pretty quickly.

I cranked on the both the drag link and trac bar today
Track bar bolt turned about half a turn (I was cranking pretty hard on it)
Steering feels much better
Kinda crazy that little bit helped so much
