2004 CC with Avic-N1. Factory speaker finally blew out. Time to get some replacements. I've heard excellent things about Polk Audio. Anyone have any model # suggestions for me? I've also been reading to only go with round speakers. What size? Are all four same size? What is involved with installing/making adaptor rings?

It all depends on your budget. Im really looking forward to trying out the sundown audio 6.5's in my front doors. Hertz is also another great speaker, lots of good reviews. My opion is to go with a round 6.5 up front. The rears are more for fill. They are pointed right at my box so I never upgraded them. If I was going to spend more I was thinking about the JL c-5's.

Run 6.5" in the door and mount the tweeters to your liking. Do you plan on upgrading just the front doors or the back also?

PTSUPERD and I run Hertz 165 components in our trucks with JL subs and amps. It's easily the best sounding setup I've ever had. The sound quality is great.
