so I bought 2 H1 HID kits (low and high beams) to install in my projector headlights and I hooked everything up which was straight forward and I cant get my low beams to come on, high works perfect. When I turn the light switch from auto to all running lights on I can get a flicker on for a sec then nothing. I took a test light and I have no power at the low beam wires...but when I take the HIDS out and put the stock bulbs back in power is back and everything works fine.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Are you running a relay harness? A seperate one for high and another for low?

Since you know high works you can swap low bulbs and ballasts one at a time to confirm they are good.

no I don't have a relay harness. yes I did switch the ballasts around and there all good.

If your not running a harness where do your ballasts get power from?
Factory 08 Superduty has a single bulb that does high and low.
Your setup has seperate high and low with their own ballasts.
Did you splice the factory headlight connector to feed both high and low?

A wiring diagram would help a lot.

yes I just splices into the harness sharing the same ground wire. just seems like low cant power up the ballasts up enough

You should power the hids from the battery directly and switch them with the feed from the bulbs wires. Never try to power hids directory from the headlight bulbs sockets.

Get a relay. 10 bucks on eBay. Make your you get the h13 relay so you can still have high beams. That is if your projectors still have h13's.

did the company you got the projectors from say you can put the hid bulbs in the high beam projector? switching back and forth from high to low will kill the bulb because hids are not designed like halogens. the vehicles you see equipped with high beam hid headlights have a shutter inside the projector of let more light out for high and closes for low. just fyi
