Well last Saturday, I completed a little audio upgrade. I wish I would've done rear speakers, but I'm happy with it so far. I decided to stick a 10" underneath my jump seat. That is the only part that I'm disappointed at. The seat tends to sit up higher and now the arm rest doesn't sit all the way down. But I can't complain it has like layers of 7/8" MDF.

My hardware:
SUB- 10" Sundown Audio E-series 400RMS

Speaker- Infinity Kappa 682.9cf

AMP-Powerbass ASA 600.4

Headunit-Kenwood KDC-BT652U

The only thing I have a picture of is the sub out of the box, but I can get a picture of the final product. I ran into problems of mounting the amp and like I said the jump seat sits up higher now. But for the little space I had and it hits really hard for a 10". So i'm happy.

Do you use the jump seat a lot? I had a box built to replace my entire console. If the seat being higher bugs you, and you don't use it often I'd say ditch it and build a box/console in its place

Yeah. I'm thinking I might just dump the jump seat. I use it maybe a handful all year.

Look into a JL Audio Stealthbox. Got my 10" Stealthbox (goes right in the center console, down firing, you lose NO interior room) at Crutchfield. My JL rocks, and I could use more amp. A sealed box needs more power than a ported one, but they sound better. Now you ain't gonna wake up the whole neighborhood with a single 10", but the sound quality for you, and you passengers is unmatched with JL. It is a very tight, hard hitting, natural bottom end, not some boomy, mushy crap, like you here from thug wanna bees. It's nice to have your bottom end NOT coming from way behind you.

Over all I'm impressed with the sound quality of the sub and box. My speakers are great. I had them in my previous car and I loved the quality of the sound, so I got the again.

The box, is a custom built one with 7/8" MDF.

I don't like sealed systems at all. Will always have a ported box. It's just a personal preference on what type of sound you like.
