Hey all! Names Cory.
SO this is the story on how I got a big system in my truck.
For starters I have a Crew Cab 08 F250.
I know this is a big topic on crew cabs because a lot of people ask about this all the time. So here is the story about my mission to get big bass and a rocking system in my truck.
So before my truck I had a 03 Mustang GT. Well all of my friends had there tuner and ricer cars with their big bass. Just Bass. Well I liked the bass but I hated how it drained out the music.
So after months of looking and debating and reading reviews I found what I had wanted to put in my car. The muscle car of the group.
With my Income tax check and a little extra I bought my things.
A JVC Arsenal KW-ADV794 Double Din w/Bluetooth.
2 Rockford Fosgate P1 D4 12s 250rms
Rockford Fosgate R-500 Mono amp
4 Rockford Fosgate 5x7 Door speakers

After I bought every thing I had it all installed in my car. Was a great day. Well after a while I didn't like my system as much as I originally did. So I started looking for bigger subs. I found 2 Rockford Fosgate P3 D2 12s 500rms with a Rockford Fosgate 1000bd Mono block amp.
Installed that myself with a friend and it hit really hard.

Well, way down the road, I wrecked my car. They totaled it for false damage. After a long long argument with the wrecker company, they agreed to let me get my things out. So I ripped all my things out and put the old back in.

Then after my search for my truck finally paid off. I began for the search on how to put my P3s behind my rear seat.
So here goes. I looked for ways to move my seat and I come up with this place called -Underground Audio Styling- That works out of Florida. They made Brackets for 08, 09, and 10 trucks that moved the Rear seat forward up to 2 inches! I called them up and they told my they make them per order and they were a $100 shipped plus tax. So it was around $109. I placed my order and received them 4 days later. Turns out they just hard plastic about 3/4 inch thick with holes drilled in them with rounded edges. In my opinion, not worth $100, but ehhhh already bought them.

They didnt come with bolts and nuts so I stopped by my local hardware store and got 6 bolts, I think 3/8s, 6 washers and 6 nuts.
I took out the rack under the rear seat. Next I put them in my truck, and let me tell you, what a pain in the BUTT! took a little over an hour by myself. Would go by so much quicker with 2 sets of hands. I used the original bolts and nuts to mount the brackets to the original holes and stuck the bolts threw the bottom of the brackets and slid the seats on them, bolted them down, and boom, done. It looked good and there was plenty of room behind the seats!

Now it was time for the Install. I took my JVC, Speakers, P3s and Amp to the audio place - American Audio in Knoxville TN - dropped off my truck and 10 hours, yes 10 hours later, I got my tuck back with an amazing sound system in it. Sadly I didnt get any pictures of the actual install but I got these tips from the audio place. They Built the ported box all made of wood, and crammed it behind the backseat. Just a little over 4 cubic feet in the box. They had to take the rear middle seat belt bracket out to get the most out of the area. We had talked about it before and I was okay with it. NO cutting was done to the back carpet. The subs seem tight and flush up against the seat but there is a ring around them keeping them off the seat and about half the sub is open below the seat so they can breath really well. The huge amp is mounted under the driver rear seat with all the wires tucked and hid. There is only a few wires I could find, and believe me, I looked. Since I didnt want 1000 watts hitting me in the head all the time I had a Bass Equalizer Knob installed where the factory Imput Line was. Its really nice because I can dictate how much bass I want from the from seat of my truck and it Looks factory! With the box behind the seat it still looks almost factory with the rear doors open. You can barely see the box back there. There is no sign of a system in the truck unless you look for it.

So here are some pictures for you to see. Any Questions, comments or Compliments you can ask here or pm me. Because I'm sure I forgot something about the install. And I'm sure people will be interested in the install which is why I posted all of this!

So Thank You All!
Cory Anderson

The box is 7.5 inches wide at top and 10 inches wide at bottom. Its 58 inches long and 16.5 inches high.
Its got a port in the middle that's 12 inches long and 2 inches wide.

The sound is great. Its struggles with the deep deep notes because it doesn't have enough air space to for the P3s to move. They need about 6 cu/ft and its got around 4 cu/ft. But over all. Great great box.
