CB antenna mounts

What kind of brackets are you guys who mounted them on your side mirrors using? I can't seem to find one that fits right.

I had bought mine from WWW.blamoshop.com was a narrow mount with only 2 bolts, fit on the mirror with some longer bolts and didn't have to extend the mirror at all.

They survived about 2 years but the passenger side one eventually broke from catching too many tree branches on our narrow horse carriage roads.

Firestik II I had 4' tall ones one it, but dropped to 3' to get under 9'

How will the antennas ground to a plastic mirror? Did you have and swr problems?

you will need to run a wire from a mounting bolt on the antenna down to the kick panel... i had to do that on my big truck.. the doors just dont ground out very well with a 200w kicker behind it...

I have an 05 and mounted mine opposite the radio antenna on the crowl panel.

I ran a 10awg wire from the base of the antenna to a ground inside the truck. That is why the expandable wire loom was over the coax. I never really got to mess with the tuning as much as I should have but I believe my SWR was around 1.2

Mounted mine to my tool box.
