Need a new engine 7.3idi

Looking for a new/reman engine. Long block perferably. Im located in vancouver wa. Have 1800 budget. Any info appreciated thanks in advance.

If I were you, I would just try to find a running truck that the owner is parting out. You should be able to pick up a complete engine that runs for around $800. Pull the heads, and oil pan and inspect for wear and tear, and go from there.

Honestly, I would look for a 6.9. You wont have to worry about cavitation, better cooling (different cooling design through the block/headgasket/head vs the 7.3), makes the exact same power.
