speakers

Well I bought some infinity kappa 693.9i in 6x9s and i knew that they would require some work to fit properly. but can anyone tell me exactly what has to be done to make them fit? it looks like the front speakers will hit my window when they're down... if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

I'll just say my speakers just showed up and I've never torn apart the doors in my 09 but I can say it all depends on your speaker. With a 6x9 it's possible your going to have to cut some metal out of your door but if your speaker is too deep your going to have to make you a baffle out of mdf and that will offset the speaker and you may not have to trim anything. However if you bought a speaker too deep you may be SOL and have to order some different speakers

I thought factory speakers were 6x9? or are they 5x8

I've got some 6x8s in my truck. All 4. Shop put them in. I guess they went in easy. They didntvsay anything about them.
