Removed 16 1/8", the whole job is about 6 hrs worth of work, now I just need to decide on a power plant and a 2wd vs 4wd.

I cut halfway down the frame, went horizontal an inch, then cut the rest of the way down. The chunk I cut out was trimmed down and used to reinforce the back side of the frame. The hard part right now is the aluminum drive shaft that need to be cut, none of the local shops deal with aluminum ones so I may have to do it.

^ That is what I done except for the Z cut, that was done more for alignment reasons than anything else. I will say that spot between the cross members is a pain in the ass to weld on the inside with a stick. LOL

That was my thinking....and also because my mig wont weld over 1/8".

Recco, its blue.........thus it is the blues mobile. All I need now is a microphone.

Model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas...


Looks good buddy! Glad to see a turbo on the engine in the fire truck!

Thank you all, now I just have to quite talking to Danny........I didnt have any intentions of making this 4x4 until him. LOL
