4r100 or e40d

since i am sure that eventually I will be needing a new tranny would a e40d bolt up where my 4r100 now sits? and would there be any benifit at all to changing trannys?

Kinda taking a step backwards going from a 4r100 to an e40d. Not to mention it won't bolt right up without some work

I'd say rebuild the stocker

The E4OD doesnt have sensors the 4r100 has that your truck needs.

well i guess that answeres it. i dont know crap about trannies. other than I should start looking and saving now . i dont think my stock trans will handle 238/100s and a 38r..
