What your save, or personal limits you will pull on bumper and goose neck trailers.
Also let's get some good info on leagle limits and rules. Seems like there are a lot of people that question stuff, and would like to know.

I'm one of them. Good info is always good. We can always learn something new, don't matter how long we have been around trailers.

I know that states don't go off what the factory GCWR are. I haven't been in to ask if they go off the trailers GVWR. I would think they wouldn't. But I've heard both ways.

I was always under the impression at least when being scaled that what matters is that the individual axle ratings are not exceeded, and that the sum of the tire ratings on each axle is not exceeded, for both truck and trailer, then hitch rating. So basically you could be all legal under manufacturer's recommended GCWR or overall weight for truck/trailer, but fail on the rear axle loading if the load is balanced in a piss poor manner.
