Did a little unexpected remodeling of my driver's side front fender yesterday when the tread on the tire decided to separate at 70mph. Luckily the body damage is minor but my fender flare and the end cap on my bumper disintegrated immediately.
First, carnage pics of course!

Luckily, the majority of the damage is just the rubber marks you can see on the lower part of the fender.

What was left of the tire when I got it pulled off the freeway.

Tire I borrowed to limp home. No I did not have a spare with me... in almost 14 years of driving this is the first time I've been stranded and couldn't get myself back on the road. Luckily a friend of mine came through and brought me this tire and wheel.

This just cracks me up...

Anywho, the fender flares. No idea what they are, can anyone help out???

Thats a Cooper tire for YA.

They look like Bushwacker extend-a-fender
I wasn't aware that those Wildcats were made by Cooper...
I think it had more to do with the age of the tire than anything. I was trying to limp to my exit when it let go... I was only 1/2 mile short LOL

I don't think it matters what kind they are since you most likely wont be able to buy just one anyway. And it'd be almost as cheap to paint two as it would one. If you can get just the fronts, replace them both and keep the one you have as a spare.

I did find one vendor selling single Xenon flares. But... I traded my spare IDM for a full set of new flares with a member on another site.

Great. What brand did you get? I didn't even know there were others available besides Bushwacker.

He couldn't remember what brand they are, but they look very similar to the ones on my truck now. Bushwacker and Xenon are the two companies I found that produce flares for these rigs, and the Extend-a-fender from Bushwacker looks very, very similar to the Xenon flares.
