I guess there has been a price hike in 2 1/2 years.

I bought a 36' gooseneck (non deckover) over 2 years ago for $5,200.

Went to price another one but only 22' and was only $50 cheaper.

Is that the case for all brands, anyone know?

Check out thetrailerguys in bonham, Texas.

Best brand trailer IMO with loadmax and prices are legit.

I just picked up a 14k 32 ft from them and the price was right.
You probably saw it at Brads.

Pay cash and they'll take off a bit more.

I see they have driveover fenders; how well do you think they will hold up with my F250 running over them with 500 lbs of hanging weight on the front?

I'm sure I will have to pay a bit to get it from Texas

I bought a bigtex 20ET for 4500 last summer. Bumper pull. Good trailer. It was another 1500 for a 24 gooseneck version of it in the drop deck when I priced it.

I was looking at Kearney trailers last year. Ended up with a normal 18' car hauler, but had my eye on a 28' gooseneck car hauler. I think the price for it was a little over $4K... still my go get it in a year or two so I can haul two Jeeps on it, but for now, the 18' works for what I needed it for.

I got a 40' gooseneck lowboy from Rob in Bonham, TX three years ago for a great price...just under $8K. Ordered with extras. Very nice trailer and good people to deal with. Not to worry about the drive over fenders. They will take a tank. Not cheap steel, very well put together.

Anyone know minimum length needed for a CCLB?

If all the trailer will ever have on it is a cclb truck alone I still wouldn't go any less than 25ft of deck space.

Id probably get a 30 footer

I will look at 30's so I can haul truck and toy if needed. Anyone think the 10k axle trailers are worth extra money? Seems like stability would be better.

That depends on the deck height you want and if you need full 102 wide for the length of the trailer or can get away with 102 wide with drive over fenders.

I've got a 32 ft with 2 7k axles with drive over fenders and its just fine to haul cars/trucks.
Not so much for equipment.

With a 23 ft deck I can barley fit my excursion and rhino on it.

With the 10k axles I think it's over kill for trucks and cars. I have my axles flipped on my goose and my 7k tandem single tire is still stable even with 10k 16inch lifted super duty on it.

Thanks for feedback guys, I am sure it overkill and I will probably just stick with tandem 7k axles unless a deal comes along with 10k axles.

Chinese bought up all the steel and screwed the market all up 2 years ago, hence the increase in trailer prices.

It got so bad at one point we had to add a clause to all our proposals stating that the price was only good for 30 days because steel prices were so volatile. It has settled down in the last few months but prices are still 20-25% higher than this time 2 years ago.

Personally I'd spend the extra money and get a 10k trailer. Once you have the trailer you'll use it for much more than you ever expected to. I also wouldn't go any sorter than a 25ft deck. That way you can haul a truck and a sxs to the pulls.

My trailer is a 24k low pro 27'+5' and wish I would've went longer from the get go. I bought mine new in 2011 and it cost $8700, I priced a new one a few months back and it's over $10k now.
