so im new to diesels, i know with cars what a tune up is. What would be the equivalent to a tune up in the diesel world on a 7.3??

Changing your oil on time, and keeping your fuel filter changed. Oh yeah, the air filter also.

Checking your coolant and keeping that pesky cavitation issue at bay.

It eats holes in your front cover or cylinder walls. You can buy test strips for the coolant and bottles of SCA (supplemental coolant additive) at places like NAPA. Dip the test strip in the coolant and then add SCA if it says you need it.
