I priced them through ford. For a F250 they were somewhere in the ballpark of $100 a hinge. For a F150 they were only $30ish a piece? Does that make any sense? Is there somewhere else or somebody that has good hinges for sale. I would like to keep it oem. I need upper and lower hinges, drivers side both doors. Thanks.

I did its a little tight but you can do it. I just took my air belt sanders and grinded the top of the pin off. It's only 3/4 inches wide with an 80 grit belt. You might be able to get in there with something else though.

I used a side grinder and cut the old pin in half and then knocked it out both ways. Have someone hold the door and replace 1 at a time.

Remember in 1997, Ford was using a new body style for the F150.

And, the pins and bushings dont always do the job, and are a bigger pain in the ass to change than just swapping hinges.
