Ok, this isn't my truck, but a lot of the idea came out of my head and I did a bunch of the labor. It's a 96 that was 2wd with coil springs in the front. We took the suspension from a wrecked '01 SD and made it into a to be 4wd leaf spring. Overall I think it went well. It doesn't dog walk at all, you can let go of the wheel at 70mph and it doesn't pull. For our first time doing a project this big. Any questions let me know.

It definitely improved the stance of the truck. When he gets some more money he is gonna buy the transfer case and 4wd trans to hook it up.

Yep, crummy pic, but I used all the factory SD stuff. Just reinforced it with some angle iron. It rides much better than my 97 F250 4x4.

I can get better pictures later. Basically, we took all the shackles off of the SD frame and used some 5/16 6x5 angle we had laying around to adapt them to the OBS frame. The angle added strength and made everything a little more square like the SD frame is.
