Well guys my '11 is back on the road and just about done, I can't go but a few days without working on something so here is my next project. This one will surely take a whole lot longer but I am looking forward to it coming together. The truck is a 1970 F-250 Longbed Camper special, I bought it out of upstate NY with very little rust(very surprising).

I had all the conversion parts to put a 12 valve in it but those have since been sold off. I have a conversion truck already and didn't have it in me to do another one, I want to put a Ford Diesel between the frame rails. I haven't decided if I want to put a 7.3 or early 6.0 in it but the guys who have done this your input is of course welcomed.

That is how the truck is sitting now, doing some minor rust repair and sand blasting the body and bed.

I went with a first generation 7.3 for my swap. Main reason was not having to deal with a custom built intercooler and pipes (simplified things a little). If you go that route I can help; I have every wire color/stripe combo memorized at this point :)

Pictures are messed up I'll have to take some new ones

I love all those renders, holy ****.
Personally, the bottom two take the cake.
And for a drive train, I'd go with a mildly built 6.0, mostly for the extra power and amazing sound over a 7.3.
But if you somehow get the option, do a 6.4 or 6.7. :jammin::pimp::redspotdance::evil

sweet idea. no stacks though.

bang for buck, a 6.0 powerplant is probably the best bet. 22" wheels by no less than 10 wide in chrome would look sick

Well I think I found my donor truck it happens to be my brothers truck that he beat to **** but he is headed off to the University of Colorado in the fall so the truck is fair game. It has 145K on it with original everything, the only things I have done are a coolant filter and EGR delete.

I myself am not much of a 6.0L guy other then basics so I'll need some help there but I would like to start putting some parts together while I finish all the body work.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking
- Studs
- All new gaskets top to bottom
- Ported Intake manifold (worth it or not?)
- Exhaust manifolds
- Injectors? Not sure of sizing/flow
- S300 based turbo for simplicity reasons
- Transmission rebuild or built?
- Regulated Return
- HPOP Ford or Aftermarket?

ooh, its got late wheels on it. Does it have 2" spacers? what size are the tires? if so, can you take some pics down the side of the fenders to see where the tires come to the edge of the wheel openings?
