gears and posi options

just wanted some input on what size gears i should put in my truck so it is closer to stock ratio.I have 38x15.5R18.Also what is the best posi/soft locker.Thanks.

I would go no bigger then a 4.30 gearset. I think if I had 38's and 4.30's I would be more happy then I am with the 4.30's and 37's... Too high of RPM on the road.

I'm at about 1800 rpm at 70 mph.My 03 with stock tires does 70mph at 2000 rpm.I don't want to be over reving down the highway.my display says i get up to 19 + mpg depending on were and how i drive.

We like to call that display a "Lie-o-meter" for a reason. Hand calculate your fuel mileage.

I'm still running 3.73s with 38s. :doh:

Running down the highway is great. Taking off from a stop....not so much. LOL

I would go 4.30s, too. If I ever find a deal, I will go that route.

Ha ha i've got 39.5 and stock gears as well, with no chip:doh:
