Truck In sig. Quick question, trying to bump the engine over so I can take off the torque converter nuts, but it wont turn over. Here's where I am, trans/tranf case harness unplugged, turbo harness unplugged, and MAF unplugged. Would any of these sensors being unplugged, or a combination of them, prevent the engine from turning over? BTW, tried the ole strap wrench, twice, now I have to replace both of my shop's strap wrenches.

Just put a pull bar and socket on the nut that holds the crank pulley on. It should turn there.

Then use the tc nuts to turn it over. They should be on tight enough that you should have to use a flat bar on the flywheel teeth to keep it from moving.

Oh, you have a 6 liter. Is there not an inspection cover that you can pull and access the tc studs?

It has the little oval rubber plug to access them, but I've gotta turn the engine over to get at em all.
