03 6.0 into 01 6.8

Not sure if this is the proper section but figured I'd give it a shot. I have a friend with a 2001 f250 CCLB 6.8 v10, it currently doesn't run due to the wiring harness. Well how much work would it be to swap my 6.0 into that truck? Could we just swap engine/trans and cabs?

Why don't you just swap trucks...seems like a lot of work to put a 6.0 in anything...

Swap trucks as in how?

If you have both trucks just time consuming. Small firewall difference where the 01 PCM goes. Everything for the most part is just bolt on. It would take around a week in house.

ALL wiring has to be changed from behind the dash, back to the fuel tank..

But if we swap engine/trans and cabs then all wiring goes where it should. Or am I not seeing it? When I lift my cab to do my engine swap all the important parts are on the lift. Cab, wiring, radiator, intercooler. I guess I should have asked what is the difference between the 01 6.8 frame and my 03 6.0 frame.

No differences on the frames. You just want to change to a long bed?
