Accelerator to torque tables translate a physical pedal position into a torque value in the computer. The computer then takes that value and uses it in various other tables to determine how much fuel to inject and at what pressure. Some of the tables are desired exhaust back pressure and desired fuel mass.

So if torque was raised for a given pedal percentage,is this what makes for touchier throttle? Trying to learn a little sorry for the silly questions.

Yes I think it would. If you raised the torque values all by 25 percent, then at any pedal position you would actually be at 25 percent higher throttle than before
