When I did the conversion on my work truck I replaced the turbo, turbo pedestal, pedestal bolts and O ring that connects the compressor housing to the intake spyder, intake spyder, and intake clamp, intake plenums boots and clamps, new up pipes up pipe gaskets and bolts and the up pipe collector. I used the existing IC pipes and down pipe.
The conversion for all new parts is quite expensive and is more cost efficient to do an H2E turbo set up which will include everything including the turbo for around $2400. If you can get all used parts for the conversion cheap it will be cost efficient.
Riff Raff Diesel has a conversion kit that includes a new 38R turbo and a few other upgrades for a tad over $2400 and Black Widow has a conversion kit for under $1000. Both kits include international Bellowed Up pipes.
So the Hypermax kit that includes a H2E is in the ballpark and is a better turbo.
