So I'm looking at a truck for delivery and expanding our business. Found a 1999 International with a 444e that is a retired MAC tool truck with 230k miles. Tranny was replaced 30k miles ago. Original unfinished build started in 1998. The motor looks very similar to a standard OBS. HPOP is leaking and the GPR has been hard wired to a switch. Injectors and computer replaced in past 10k miles.

Anyone want to offer sagely advice?

We have quite a few of them at work. Not the fastest or strongest but they work all day every day. Cabs is the only issues we hav been having. The like to rot out all along the cab bottoms.

Just put a set of 175/30s, rebuilt the turbo with a ww2, and changed to a .84 housing on one.

It at least is not SO gutless now.

Pump is not a halidex. The housing is what people use. They remove the stock PS pump and replace it with a halidex.

Just have to get the gear machined if I remember correctly. I was going to build my own back in the day, and ended up getting a good price on a used one from Swamps.

Humbly, they are nice   They are my design and specifications down to the steel used.

But not widely available yet - the truck will be a big part of getting them to users. I'm very interested in feedback beyond the dozen or so that I have out there.
