Has anyone done tuning for a 2015 engine in a 2011 truck? Do you have to change out any sensors? I Need a new engine for my 2011 & there is a low km 2015 available.

I've worked with strategy conversions during testing. We could certainly make a file that would work with it.

Do keep in mind that the ECM pinout is a bit different with the fuel temp sensor and fuel pressure switch. Those would need altering to function. Not sure of SCT or MCC would be capable of converting or not.

Edit to add: if you were to keep some of the top end components of your current engine and use the 2015 long block, it could be simply treated as a 2011 vehicle with a 15 turbo and pump conversion, which is easy.

I just put a 2015 motor in a 2011. Still waiting on the tunes to arrive from *******, but just driving on the 40hp and the 165hp im pretty thrilled. Customer bought an 11 with a bent rod and found a used low mile 15 motor that was burnt up. We swapped all the sensors from the 11 to the 15 and got new injectors for it since the orginal ones were a little hot.
