what to look for?

Taking little bro to look at a 97 with 166k on it tomorrow. Anything I should be on the lookout for?

A little late getting here but look for oil in the fuel bowl, oil leaking every where smoke from the exhaust. play in the turbo

Check the fuel pump make sure its not leaking out the weep hole, if its got the TTB dana 50 check it out as well.

I would see how much blowby it has.

See how far u can spin the tires. If one spins its a open diff and both a LSD. I'd check stock air box there was a recall on the bolts that hold it down.

Take a Jack a 3/8, 1/2 ratchet and extension to check diff oils and t case. And a pry bar to check ball joints under front end and wheel bearing play.
