TCC lockup solenoid

I have a truck that is throwing tranny codes for the TCC solenoid and the converter refuses to lockup. Is this as simple as a fix of replacing the solenoid or is it indicative of something else wrong?

Where can I get the solenoid if that is the problem? My local Ford dealer is telling me that they can't order it separately. Comes with the whole valve body yet I have purchased a direct clutch solenoid from the dealership for someone else.

I put this in aftermarket by accident because I was going to ask opinions on who to go with for a built tranny for said truck...

Anybody know? Or know anyone I should contact who is knowledgeable with the 5r110?

Depending on which solenoid code it's setting it could be the solenoid or the wiring to the solenoid, or both. It looks like the dealer is right, he can only order the whole valve body. Any transmission shop can get just the solenoid, just not from Ford. Some auto parts stores would be able to get it, too.
