Well wish me luck. I have done a bunch of research ande we are going to tr one on our 2004 F350 6.0.

Truck is a 2004 with a 2005 motor in it. The Truck has 655k roughly on it. The motor itself has around 450k on it. We have been averaging 1 oil cooler a year in it, In the last year we have had to put 3 in it. The system has been flushed many times using the vc9 as well as simple green and cummins radiator clean. The Truck also has a first coast diesel egr delete and coolant filter setup on it. (egr delete has 300k on it, coolant filter has around 75k)

Tired of doing oil coolers i began to research the oil cooler setup by Bullet Proof diesel, It is expensive however if we would of had to pay to have the last three oil coolers installed we would of spent more then the price for the Bullet Proof setup. The truck has an Edge Insight Monitor in it that is monitored constantly and the truck gets 100-120k a year on it 90% of it is loaded.

Truck and Trailer weighs 18k lbs empty 24-28k on average loaded 65% of the miles are loaded the rest are at the 18k. It idles all winter long from 6am monday till 5 pm friday. We Do 10k mile oil changes 20k mile fuel filter changes using motorcraft filters, Chevron delo 400 and are very stringent on where the fuel comes from. In 450k miles we have only replaced 2 injectors both due to electrical failures.

Wish me luck the Bullet Proof kit is sitting here truck will be here in a few hours. I will be sure to let everyone know our real world results

Thanks Travis

Got it all they way installed, Had about 8 hours in the total installation, including modding and lowering the trans cooler. Could prolly do it in 6 next time. The hardest part was putting the bumper back on and getting the oil filter mount all on, Its a min of two person job three really.

Will let yall know in a few days

The only probelm we ran into was the ac condensor. See last pic above, our condensor was an an aftermarket with tank style ends instead of tube style. I ended up swapping another condesor in to make it mount easier.

Very nice. I want to put a remote mount filter and cooler on my new engine, it will be nice to see how it works for you.

Hey Moremph I have had the same kit on now for 6200 miles now. Are you running any aftermarket gauges for EOT at all? If so where do you have it at? I have my temp gauge just u/s of the bypass valve. When I am in the city driving I am at 180F and under when I am going down the highway my temps drop right off and no temp reading at all but when I am towing my 11k holiday trailer it is 180F on the highway. Just wondering if I should move my temp gauge location

I just did one two weeks ago... I did not remove the bumper though...

The only thing that kinda erked me was now the need to loosen an reposition the rock plate every time you r&r oil filter.
