05 6 oh random missing

A buddies truck is randomly missing it does it hot, cold, it just will run like that for a couple minutes then back to normal. it has been doing it more frequently and longer. Fuel, oil filters and oil got changed yesterday and it is still doing it more. I have auto e but have misplaced the damn key. Where to start?

I had the same symtoms a couple of years ago.. Ford's WDS power balance test confirmed 6 and 8 were on there way out..

The truck has ~110k miles on it.

Did you just replace the two or do the whole set?

I wonder if the WDS power balance and the contribution test are the same thing?

I replaced the two and have put 35K on since and all is well..

I was going to check the ficm voltage next week since the swamps write up says the truck needs to be cold. Hopefully I will get the key for auto e this week so I can run the diagnostics.
